Austria and Budapest... once again

These past few days have been quite busy, interesting, fun, tiring... pretty much everything one can think of.

On Friday I went to Austria to see Clemens and my family. Unfortunately I came down with a cold last week so the train-ride was quite tiresome. Along the shores of Hungary's rivers there was considerable flooding, and the traintracks were close to beeing flooded at numerous places. Fortunately though, the train got through without any problem.

On Saturday, Clemens and I visited all of my grandparents. Although I was happy to see them, the visit to my grandparents on my dad's side turned out to be quite difficult, as my grandfather has been ill for a while and was not feeling well. Despite this, we managed to cheer up again in the evening when we went to see Ice Age II - a movie worth seeing ;).

The following day was a very busy one. We had to pack for the next few weeks and plan for the next day, where we both had appointments in Vienna. We finally did manage to get our things together and left for Wiener Neustadt (just South of Vienna) in the evening. We stayed over in Clemens' school. Since his dorm was for military college students, I kept hiding behind Clemens when we left his room, shared toilets and washing facilities with men (although I never encountered any male while being at the bathrooms) and had a very yummy breakfast at the school's restaurant.

Monday came and we were on our way to Vienna. After Clemens' appointment for his Diploma thesis, we strolled around the center of Vienna and discovered that I will work right next to the Stefansdom this following summer. All I can say is: AWESOME!!!! (You could compare the location to Times Square in NYC, or to the Eiffel Tower in Paris)

Anyway, after a beautiful sunny day in Vienna, we left for Budapest where we presently are. The first few days we were taking life easy, just went to classes, worked on a couple of assignments for university and mostly relaxed after our hectic weekend. On Monday night we went to a nice little Italian Restaurant (called Pizzeria Den Haag), on Tuesday we had some friends over for supper, and last night we enjoyed a hot night of Salsa. Tonight we are going to see AIDA at the theatre, and tomorrow my aunt and cousin are coming to spend Easter with us. So the program is dense, but we are enjoying every minute of it....
