Clemens' relay-team before the start...

Linz Marathon...

Today was our city's marathon, where Clemens participated in the relay-run. After hiking on Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner, he had sore muscles, his feet were hurting and full of blisters. Nonetheless he ran the longest section of his relay-team (13,5 km) and managed to be the fastest of his team! Out of over 500 participants, his team managed to achieve the 111th place. Congratulations to them! Needless to say, Clemens has a very proud girlfriend now....

Lake Attersee on Monday... no it's not summer yet, it just looks like it! (But about 1 km before we took that picture we still had snow on the sides of the road...)

My "Chauffeur"- looking splendid with his bike.

Do you see how cold I am? I bet not! That's why I didn't take off neither my gloves nor my helmet (which I bought with my first pay-check). If the gloves had been taken off for the pic, you'd see frozen blue fingers - and if the helmet had been taken off, you'd hear my rattling teeth....
Ok, some exaggeration has been added to this description...

Happy Easter!

Wow - time has passed so quickly and Easter has come and gone by in almost an instant! And soon it'll be a month since I started my new job! Amazing!

But back to Easter. The official easter kick-off was on Wednesday when Clemens' dad and his girlfriend invited us over for dinner. They sent all of us kids outside into the garden to find easter eggs and chocolates. It must have been hilarious to see "children" aged between 18 and 28 in a garden and looking for little surprises. And in the end, the surprises were not that little after all - as everyone found an ostrich egg underneath the trees!

After a two-day digestive break (we had a huge dinner at Clemens' house) - we were invited out for lunch with Clemens' mom and husband and aunt,... on Saturday. Again - too much food and a lot of fun!

The easter weekend was set to continue with a two-day motorcycle trip over the alps to Mariazell and then to the northern parts of Austria. (un)fortunately, Clemens and I forgot the Map for our trip at home. Yet the "un" is in brackets - because it was so cold that we were actually happy to take the next mountain pass back home! Only about three hours after our departure, we went back to bed and slept almost the whole afternoon - and worked at night.

Finally, Monday arrived - the sun was out - temperatures were rising - and we could finally go on a nice motorcycle trip. We took the bike to Lake Attersee, Lake Offensee and Lake Traunsee. Three lakes in one day - how exciting!

So there we are on Tuesday and it's all back to work... But with the Master Thesis almost done and a fulfilling full-time job, I'm not all that unhappy that the working-week began again..
