The weather's going crazy - the apartment is getting fuller
Bizarre winter weather and progress at the apartment are the highlights of the past couple of weeks.
Whereas we had unusual warm temperatures (up to 17°C and sunshine) for weeks, a big hurricane-type of storm brushed over Europe just a week ago. Thankfully, no big damages happened to my family, except for broken-down trees in our forests, and Roof-tiles falling from our chalet's house and shed. But considering the force of this storm and all the problems it caused Europe-wide, we can consider ourselves quite fortunate! But the weather had more in mind with us, I suppose as finally snow arrived a few days ago. Certainly there was traffic chaos all over Austria, as everyone was already driving according to spring-weather conditions. Now there are about 10 cm of snow on my balcony and the sun is shining - I guess winter isn't all that bad after all!
Shortly before Clemens is coming back from the Austrian-Hungarian border service, our apartment is starting to get fuller again. Last week we received our entrance hall furniture. Finally our shoes could come out of boxes and be placed in the according closets. Things are looking good now in our entrance hall!! But even better - yesterday, our complete kitchen has arrived. I only had half a kitchen available to date, now all that is missing is our dish-washer, which we'll buy in a few days. Next week we will receive our beautiful bed, and then our apartment is pretty much finished (except for decoration/pictures and the bath-room closets).
Unfortunately my camera broke a few days ago when it fell on the floor - so there won't be many pictures on my blog for a few weeks. However, once I am equipped with a picture-making device again, all news will be well-illustrated again!
