Daytrip with my grandparents

Yesterday I went on a day-tour with my grandparents. At first, we visited my grandma (on my dad's side) and then drove on to lake Gosau. Since the weather was warm and sunny, the trip was just perfect. After visiting lake Gosau, we continued to drive over some mountain passes and passed several lakes on our way to Hallstadt, Bad Aussee, Liezen and back home.

I went to the Oktoberfest two more times - I cancelled for tonight though as I came down with a cold. And to tell the truth, I have been there enough this year. The same songs are being played at every tent, the same drunken people fall all over the place everywhere, and I see them twice a day on the subway anyway. So - unless unexpected visitors come and ask me to join them at the 'Wiesn', that was it for me this year. Still, I am looking forward to the next time I'll go there... in a few years!

One week in Munich

Last Tuesday afternoon, I finally arrived at my new place in Munich, and for a week I had almost no time to lay back and relax, myriad things were happening each day. At first, on Wednesday, we had our welcome day and some classes. The late afternoon though, we spent at the river Isar, in the sun. And in the evening, my friends and I went for pizza and drinks in downtown Munich. On Thursday, I went to see my aunt and uncle near Munich and had another class. And Friday I already went back to Austria.

Saturday, Clemens and I drove all the way to the eastern-most province (Burgenland) to meet a friend of my family. She is moving to a smaller apartment and gave us two boxes filled with kitchen utensils for our apartment. And even Sunday we didn't relax or anyting, nope!

In the morning we had to repair Clemens car's windshield wiper, do our laundry, organize our things. And since the weather was nice, we had the chance to go on our last motorcycle tour of the year. We went to lake Traunsee and lake Attersee, over some hills and through some valleys. Since the weather was warm and sunny, the afternoon on the bike was really, really nice. But now I am quite sad that I'll have to wait for another couple of months until we can take it out again.

Well then, early yesterday I returned to Munich, went out for lunch with a classmate, had a lecture and went to the Oktoberfest. Of course, that was fun as always! I didn't stay until the very end, so I missed some fun. But for the first time this year at the Oktoberfest, the evening was perfect :).

Clemens' Graduation

This weekend was Clemens' Graduation - a beautiful celebration which lasted two days. During those two days, we experienced a concert, a firework, a parade, formations, the receipt of his diploma, his graduation-ring, his saber,..... Certainly, all of us - his family and I - were extremely proud of our fresh leutenant!

Some pictures are attached! :)

Found an apartment!!!

Yaaay! It got kind of close this year, as I have to move to Munich early next week, but today I signed the deal for a room in Munich. So I do not have to spend my first nights at friends' places or underneath bridges. ;)

In other news, it's Clemens' graduation this weekend. Everyone is already quite nervous and excited about it! Let's hope the weather is nice and everything goes well. And I am still in the decision phase: dress or skirt-suit? Ahh, the lovely phrase: I don't know what to wear!!!

More news from Munich next week. And I'll try to post some pictures soon again. We took out the motorcycle this weekend and wore our new leather clothing for the first time - I'll try to get the picture from Clemens' dad - cuz we looked pretty darn good!
