Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope all of you were able to spend some relaxing days with your families and loved ones and took the time to recover from the yearly Pre-Christmas stress!
I have spent a wonderful Christmas this year. It started out somewhat hectically with a lot of final exams and moving out of my apartment in Munich. As I will spend the next eight months abroad (Hungary and probably Austria), I no longer need my place in Munich. But as soon as all of that was over, Christmas started!
This year's Christmas I spent in Germany with my aunt, cousin and grandparents. After a fun Christmas supper and exchanging gifts (it's customary to exchange gifts on the 24th at night!), my cousin and I went out and partied all night long. Fun, fun, fun! The following day I went with my grandparents to Austria and spent the evening with my boyfriend's family. As it was his birthday on the 27th of December, we decided to celebrate it in Vienna. Therefore we packed up all of our friends yesterday morning and took a roadtrip to the capital city of Austria. During the day we were sightseeing - saw the Parliament, Stephans Dome, theatres and went to the famous Cafe Landtman. In the evening, we had supper at an Indian-Italian Restaurant and went to a club, called Kju in Vienna. The atmosphere was amazing, and the club was situated underneath one of Vienna's subway lines. So every once in a while you heard a subway car and felt the floor vibrating.
We didn't spend the night in Vienna though, and left the city to sleep at Clemens' school - which is in a castle :). He gave us a tour this morning and showed us pictures of famous generals of Austria.
And now we are back home, and ready to get working on internship applications and school work.
